China’s labor syndrome

Will China go the way of India, providing little to no infrastructural support for its foreign laborers? Will the U.S. or human rights establishment lessen their support, despite China’s lack of human rights protections for its citizens abroad? ‘As the number of attacks on Chinese citizens and property increases, domestic pressure may grow on China’s government to respond assertively, undermining its doctrine of non-intervention in the internal affairs of sovereign states. The last few months have seen another outbreak of anti-Chinese rioting in countries that casual observers might have been surprised to find even had a Chinese minority.’
