Israeli birds for Brazil

August 6, 2009

AIR_UAV_Heron_Canada_lg.jpgFresh on the heels of Lieberman’s Neutralize Iran tour, Israel continues its mafioso fueling of arms to Latin America. The Heron is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) currently in use against Afghan civilians. According to Defense Industry Daily, it is used mainly to surveil land and sea; during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 2006 it was used armed. ‘The [Israel Aerospace Industries-Brazilian partnership began two years ago after the Brazilian Federal Police began issuing tenders for a UAV. The police team said the Heron system could successfully complete missions under difficult climate and terrain conditions, and had more advanced flight and loitering capabilities than other UAV systems.’ (from Darryl)
